Section B: Lesson Planning
The second lesson plan was done in a group of 4. We collaborated with each other to create a lesson that revolved around Indigenous perspectives and teachings. We chose to incorporate themes of identity, culture and symbolism throughout.
This lesson plan is similar to the second one, prior. It still incorporates Indigenous teachings and perspectives, however, the example and activity differ. In a group of 2, we made some adaptations.
Lesson Plan 1
The main objective of this lesson was to teach students how to identify different values in paintings and everyday objects. By the end of the lesson, students worked on shading a sphere, while carefully shading in light, dark and mid-tone values.
